Bronx Man Charged With Leandra's Law DWI: NYSP
Police said the man's blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.19 percent.
ULSTER, NY — A Bronx resident was accused of drunken driving with a child in his car on the Thruway in the town of Ulster.
The New York State Police said, around 11:20 p.m. Monday, troopers stopped a car on Interstate 87 for multiple vehicle and traffic violations.
The driver of the car — Jesus M. Lantigua Rodriguez, 39, of Bronx — was found to be intoxicated while traveling with his 12-year-old child.

He was taken into custody and processed at the Kingston barracks.
Lantigua Rodriguez’s blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.19 percent and was subsequently charged with driving while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle, a felony under Leandra's Law, and aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.

He and the child were turned over to a sober third party.
Lantigua Rodriguez was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Ulster Court Jan. 31.
