Meetings For The Week For City And Town Of Poughkeepsie

MID-HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Here’s a look ahead at public meetings scheduled for the week of Jan. 2 in the mid-Hudson Valley.

The town of Poughkeepsie Town Board will hold its annual reorganization meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4.

The agenda, which can be viewed here, appointments of town attorneys, emergency chain of command, town historian and other officials; designation of official banks and 2023 Town Board meeting schedule and other matters.

The meeting is open to the public. Poughkeepsie Town Hall is at 1 Overocker Rd. in Poughkeepsie.

The city of Poughkeepsie Common Council will hold its organizational meeting at noon Tuesday, Jan. 3.

The agenda, which can be found here, includes adopting the rules of conduct, designating banks for deposits, appointing officers and other items.

A meeting of the Common Council will follow at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3.

The agenda, which can be found here, includes the appointment of a vice chair for the Common Council and the setting of a public hearing about nominating 299 Main St. as a local historic landmark.
