Powerball Ticket Worth $50K Purchased In Hudson Valley

Anyone with a winning ticket has up to one year to claim a prize.

NEWBURGH, NY — There were five third-prize winning tickets sold in New York for the Jan. 18 Powerball drawing, one of which was purchased in the Hudson Valley.

The New York Lottery said the third-prize tickets — matching four numbers and the Powerball — are each worth $50,000.

In the Hudson Valley, the winning ticket was sold at Smokes for Less on Plank Road in Newburgh.

The other tickets were sold in Hempstead, Manhattan, Hewlett and Kings Park.

Lottery officials said the winning numbers for the Jan. 18 Powerball drawing are 6-15-22-42-47 with a Powerball of 26.

Winning numbers for the Powerball game are drawn from a field of one to 69. The Powerball number is drawn from a separate field of one to 26.

Powerball drawings are televised every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 11 p.m.

The jackpot for Saturday’s drawing is now $473 million, lottery officials said.
