Yonkers Pair Accused Of Stealing Used Cooking Oil
Sheriff's deputies caught them because there was a suspicious vehicle at a restaurant in the early morning hours.

ESOPUS, NY — Two Yonkers residents were accused of stealing used cooking oil in Ulster County.
Around 2:20 a.m. Sept. 21, deputies from the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office investigated a suspicious vehicle at a local restaurant in the town of Esopus.
The deputies found that a 33-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, both from Yonkers, were stealing the establishment’s used cooking oil.

They were arrested and charged with misdemeanor petit larceny.
Police said they were released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Esopus Justice Court at a future date.
