Hit Bagel Spot Will Bring 'Utopia' To Midtown
Utopia Bagels — often cited as one of the city's best shops — is coming to Lexington Avenue this year.

MIDTOWN, NY — One of the city's top bagel shops is opening a brand-new location on Lexington Avenue, their first expansion since it opened 40 years ago.
Utopia Bagels, a top-ranked bagel shop based in Queens and also hugely popular on social media, announced its plans to open a storefront at East 34th Street and Lexington Avenue this week.
"See you in 2024 Midtown Manhattan," the post read.

Bagel fanatics who already follow Utopia's Instagram were thrilled with the news.

"Walking distance from my office?" one person said. "It was bad enough when I went to ps 209."
According to Eater NY, the new Midtown, smaller spot will open in June.
“It was important to us to pick somewhere that still keeps the family feel, and here we’re also located near hospitals and schools,” co-owner Jesse Spellman told Eater.
Utopia has been a neighborhood staple in Whitestone for decades, but it recent years the shop has solidified its presence in the city's bagel scene.
Major players in the food industry, including Eater NY and Food & Wine, have named Utopia as one of the best bagels available in the city.
Frequently shouted out on popular Instagram and Tiktok accounts, some say that nowadays, there's even a line out the door at 6 a.m.
