Man Jumps To Death From Midtown High-Rise, Police Say

The man was pronounced dead on the scene.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A man jumped to his death from a Midtown Manhattan high-rise apartment building Monday morning, an NYPD spokeswoman said.

The man, who's, believed to be in his 30s, jumped from a ninth-story window at the Carnegie Mews apartment building on West 56th Street between Seventh Avenue and Broadway, an NYPD spokeswoman said. EMS pronounced the man dead on the scene around 9:11 a.m., the spokeswoman said.

Police did not identify the man.
