Man Mugged In Times Square Subway Station, Police Say
A group of four people kicked, punched and stabbed a man in the subway over a cellphone.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A man was brutally mugged in the Times Square subway station by a group of men over a cellphone, police said.
The 51-year-old victim was inside the 42nd Street-Times Square subway station at 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday night when he was approached by a group of four men, police said. The group attacked the victim after a short verbal dispute, police said.
During the assault the man was punched, kicked and stabbed in the pelvis, an NYPD spokesman said. The attackers snatched the man's cellphone before fleeing the subway station, police said. Medics transported the victim to a local hospital in stable condition.

No arrests have been made in connection with the mugging and the NYPD investigation is ongoing, a department spokesperson said.
