Man Stabbed On Midtown Street Corner, Police Say
The victim was skateboarding on East 47th Street when somebody cut in front of him, leading to a confrontation.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A man was stabbed Monday night during a dispute on a Midtown Manhattan street corner, an NYPD spokesman said.
The 22-year-old man was skateboarding on East 47th Street near Lexington Avenue around 8:40 p.m. when a bicyclist cut in front of him, forcing him to fall to the ground, police said. The incident escalated into a verbal dispute, an NYPD spokesman said.
The bicyclist then displayed a knife and stabbed the man in the leg, police said. The man fled the scene on his bike, any NYPD spokesman said.

The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment and is expected to survive his injuries, an NYPD spokesman said. No arrests have been made in connection with the stabbing and the NYPD are still investigating the assault, police said.
