Cyclist Assaults Woman Near Penn Station, Police Say

The man is accused of biking past a woman and striking her on the head, police said.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A New Jersey man is facing charges for a bike-by assault that took place a block away from Penn Station, an NYPD spokesperson said.

Malcolm Feaster, 35, is accused of striking a woman on the head with a heavy object while biking past her on Eighth Avenue between West 33rd and 34th streets on Friday, May 1, police said. Police arrested Feaster, a resident of East Orange, New Jersey, on Wednesday and charged him with assault.

The victim, a 27-year-old woman who was not identified, suffered a small laceration, pain and bleeding, police said. Medics took the woman to Mount Sinai hospital in stable condition for treatment, according to an NYPD spokesperson.
