The man who slashed a fellow commuter with a blade on his face, chest and arms was taken into custody on Friday.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — The NYPD says it has a suspect in custody in the bloody slashing of a fellow commuter on a D train at Bryant Park on Thursday morning.

An NYPD spokesman said he could not confirm any further details.

Police released suspect photos and video late on Thursday of a man who was being sought in the attack, which police say stemmed from a verbal argument between two men on the train.
