Suspects Brutally Beat Commuter With Brass Knuckles in Columbus Circle Robbery: NYPD

The police are looking for two men who beat up a commuter and robbed him of $350 on Sunday morning.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Police are searching for two men in a brutal assault and robbery that occurred at the Columbus Circle-59th Street station on Sunday morning.

The two suspects approached a 25-year-old man on the A-train platform at 5 a.m. and shoved him to the ground, police said. They then punched and kicked the victim repeatedly, with police saying one of the men was wearing brass knuckles during the attack.

They stole $350 in cash, police said. Both suspects fled on a southbound A train.

Police said both suspects were in their 30s and about 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10. One man was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and light-colored pants. The other was wearing a gray T-shirt, black long-sleeved undershirt and black pants.

Police released video of the violent attack on Monday evening.
