Man Who Says Cops Assaulted Him Admits To Larceny + Five-Car Fire

A Long Beach man who says police assaulted him admits to trying to steal a car from Port Jefferson Station. Police are looking for a missing teenaged girl. And a five-car fire broke out in Calverton, where storm-damaged cars are being stored.

Christopher Cruz, 30, admitted he entered a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Oakland Avenue in Port Jefferson Station on Feb. 23, and drove off in it without the owner's permission. (Patch)
