Rocky Point Pitcher Key in 2-0 Win Over Sayville
Tyler Piccolo fans 10 and gets great support from his teammates on Wednesday.

Rocky Point pitcher Tyler Piccolo struck out 10 batters and allowed just three hits in a 2-0 win over Sayville in the team's first game of the season, according to Newsday.
"I felt like I was in command and making quality pitches," said Piccolo, who got defensive support from leftfielder Trevor Mercier, who made a stunning catch to help preserve the shutout.
"[Piccolo] was spot on and we didn't execute in a few situations that could have turned this game around,'' Sayville coach Ryan Cox told Newsday.

Offensively, Dan Sorrano drove in runs on a two-out single in the second inning and a sacrifice fly in the sixth.
