RPSD Sixth Graders Chosen As Finalists in International Tech Competition
Middle School students create original video and become finalists in Cool Insights competition

Rocky Point Middle School sixth-graders Shea Bennett, Katie McDonald and Cassidy Sander were selected as one of seven international finalists in Next Vista for Learning’s Cool Insights video contest.
The contest is designed to inspire students to use creativity to create a video that helps teach an educational concept a student might encounter while in school.
The students’ created an original video called, “Slave Quilt Meanings,” as part of a larger project that involved all Technology Club students researching and sharing findings about the Civil War via scannable QR codes.
