State Honors For Two Rocky Point Students

Students were recognized as part of the New York State PTA Reflections contest.

The Rocky Point School District congratulates two students for being honored in the New York State PTA Reflections contest. The students moved up from the Suffolk County level earlier in the year.

Rocky Point High School ninth grader Sky Riekert was honored with an Award of Excellence in the division of Special Artists for her work, “Include Me.” Rocky Point Middle School eighth grader Bella Veraldi was honored with an Award of Merit in the division of Dance Choreography for her work, “The Night We Met.”

The National PTA has a long-standing commitment to arts education. The Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boost student confidence and success in the arts and in life.
