- Police are searching for two men who sexually assaulted a woman at her Mastic Beach home. The suspects are seen on camera entering the home around 4 p.m. Tuesday. Police say one of the men physically and sexually assaulted the victim, before both men robbed her. (News 12)
- Police are searching for the man they say stole from an Islandia Dunkin’ Donuts in March. Police said the man entered Dunkin’ at 1966 Veterans Memorial Highway, on March 19 at approximately 6:15 p.m. and stole $220. (News 12)
- On Wednesday, construction began at Yaphank's Long Island Compost a facility to turn food waste into biogas and fertilizer. Brookhaven Landfill Action & Remediation Group, a resident's coalition, is raising concerns about the impact on the surrounding community. (Subscription: Newsday)
