  1. Police said a 33-year-old woman drove while impaired with a 4-year-old passenger and rear-ended another vehicle in Commack. The crash happened around 9:50 a.m. on Tuesday at Harned Road near Cutchogue Lane. Kristine Mazza, of Smithtown, was arrested and charged. (Daily Voice)
  2. Long Island's shark summer of 2022 continues. A juvenile great white shark washed up in Quogue this week. A Dune Road resident spotted the shark on Wednesday morning. (27east.com)
  3. Nesconset residents are fighting a driveway opening, part of a planned Starbucks drive-thru on Middle Country Road near Smith Haven Mall. The driveway would open on Alexander Avenue, a residential road. (Subscription: Newsday)
