- Police are asking the public if they recognize a woman wanted for allegedly using a stolen credit card at a CVS in Ronkonkoma. She used the card on Saturday, July 23 at the store, 751 Hawkins Ave. (Daily Voice)
- Long Island Cares, a food bank that covers all of Long Island received a $70,400 donation from Stop & Shop. The grocery chain says summer can be the toughest season for children at risk of hunger. (Patch)
- Police are looking for a runaway teen. Nasir Scruggs, 16, left the Timothy Hill Children's Ranch on Middle Road Saturday at 11 p.m. (Patch)

- Music Under the Stars: 20 Highview at Middle Country Public Library, 101 Eastwood Blvd., Centereach, 7 to 9 p.m., free: "Get down with 20 Highview, a nine-piece powerhouse band specializing in dance classics with funk grooves. They will cover classics from the 60s up to the present day. As this concert will be held outside, patrons should bring their own chairs and blankets. Food trucks will be on hand beginning at 6 p.m. and performance begins at 7 p.m."
