Arrest Made In Mineola Murder, 55-Year-Old Man Charged: Police
Authorities have arrested a man they say fatally shot a Mineola woman over the weekend.
MINEOLA, NY — A 55-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the shooting death of a Mineola woman, according to authorities.
In a statement on Tuesday, Nassau County police said they've arrested Mark E. Small, of Elmont, for the murder of 39-year-old Marivel Estevez. He has been charged with second-degree murder and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
On Saturday, officers responded to a wellness check at 140 Old Country Rd., where they found her body. It is not immediately clear how Small and Estevez knew each other, if at all.
