Blakeman Launches Reelection Bid For County Executive
He defeated the incumbent, Laura Curran, in 2021.

MASSAPEQUA, NY — Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman was scheduled to kickoff his reelection campaign on Monday at a rally in Massapequa.
Blakeman was elected to the position in 2021 when he defeated Democrat incumbent Laura Curran with a narrow, 50.3 percent of the electorate.
His rally is expected to have more than 1,000 supporters on hand along with several Republican politicans, including Nassau County District Attorney Anne Donnelly and Town of Hempstead Supervisor Don Clavin.

County Legislator Seth Koslow (D-Merrick) announced his bid to oppose Blakeman this fall.
