MINEOLA, NY — With coronavirus cases surging and lines for testing growing longer, CityMD announced it will temporarily close four urgent-care clinics across Long Island, including one in Mineola.

CityMD — which offers rapid and PCR testing for COVID-19 — said the closures are a result of staffing shortages.

"Continuing to provide these services to the community is a top priority; however, our physicians and teammates are also a priority," the company said in a statement. "To preserve our ability to staff our sites, we have temporarily closed certain locations. It is our hope that closing sites now will best allow us to avoid future closures as this surge continues."
