β€œThese defendants are accused of breaking into someone’s home, then beating, kicking, and robbing their victim,” Singas said, in a statement. β€œEveryone in this county has a right to feel safe and protected – especially inside their own home.”

The home invasion took place on Nov. 17 at 2:58 p.m., when the three pushed their way into the victim’s Lincoln Avenue home, according to the DA’s office. Taylor, along with Coleman, punched and kicked the victim in the face and torso. The three defendants then took a safe and fled into their vehicle, officials said.

Nassau Police located the defendants’ vehicle heading north on Willis Avenue toward Jericho Turnpike. The officers followed the vehicle onto the Long Island Expressway, where it exited on Route 106/107 and collided with a livery cab. The suspects were then placed under arrest, according to the DA’s office.

Taylor is represented by William Shanahan, Coleman represented by Lori Golembek and Morel by Maureen McBride, officials said.
