Fire Breaks Out In Mineola Commercial Building Early Thursday
Firefighters from Mineola and Garden City fire departments battled a blaze on Mineola Boulevard in the early morning hours, now contained.

MINEOLA, NY β A fire broke out on the second story of a Mineola building just after midnight Thursday, according to the Mineola Fire Department.
Assistant Chief Byran Strauss told Patch that he arrived on the scene after an automatic fire alarm went off, and found fire in one of the second story bathrooms.
The responding firefighters "quickly knocked down the fire," which was only in the bathroom.

Mineola firefighters were helped by Garden City, Carle Place, Williston Park, East Williston and Mineola Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
The commercial building, located at 183 Mineola Blvd., houses a website design company on the first floor. The second story is commercial space currently available for lease.
