When Severe Storms Could Hit Long Island Wednesday
Severe storms could be heading our way once again.

LONG ISLAND, NY — A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for Long Island with severe storms possible Wednesday.
"There is potential for severe thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon. The main threats will be from damaging winds and large hail," the National Weather Service said in the outlook.
Forecasters say the window for storms is from about 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

An air quality alert remains in effect until midnight Tuesday as smoke and haze from wildfires out West are creating elevated pollution levels in the area.

Wednesday- Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 2pm. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. West wind 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Wednesday Night- A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 8pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 66. West wind 5 to 8 mph.
Thursday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. Northwest wind 8 to 10 mph.
Thursday Night- Partly cloudy, with a low around 67. Northwest wind around 6 mph.
Friday- Sunny, with a high near 83.
Friday Night- Mostly clear, with a low around 66.
Saturday- Sunny, with a high near 83.
