Long Islanders Claim $8M In Lottery Winnings
The two men reveal what they plan to do with the money.

Two Long Island residents claimed their ceremonial checks on Friday for winning $8 million in total from New York Lottery scratch-off tickets.
Pedro Argueta, 59, of Carle Place, won the $3,000,000 jackpot prize on the popular 50X the Money scratch-off ticket. Argueta plays the lottery three times a week and had some luck in the past, but struck the jackpot after buying a ticket at New Carle Place Farm, located at at 514 Westbury Ave. in Carle Place. He scratched the ticket off in the store.
Satishkumar Patel, 37, of Manhasset Hills won his jackpot prize on the $5,000,000 Bankroll game.He bought his winning ticket at the SH Stationery, located on Main Street in Flushing.

"At first I thought I won $500,000,"Patel said in a press release. "The next day I realized it was actually $5,000,000!"
Argueta opted to receive the one-time lump sum payment of $1,592,166. Argueta, a landscaper plans to buy a new house with his winnings.

The $5,000,000 Bankroll ticket is paid as a one-time lump sum payment. Patel will receive a net check totaling $3,359,000 after required withholdings.
"Right now, my plans for the money include college educations for my children and a new car for my dad," Patel said.
