Nassau Man Arrested After Yelling With Gun On Street, Police Say
A Mineola man was arrested Sunday after police said they responded to a distressing call that a gun-wielding man was yelling on a street.

MINEOLA, NY β A Mineola man was arrested Sunday evening after police said they responded to a distressing 911 call that a gun-wielding man was yelling on Evelyn Road.
The call came in around 7 p.m. and investigators found a loaded black handgun in a neighbor's front yard. Kevin Conklin, 63, was arrested and taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
He was subsequently released.

Conklin faces charges of second-degree criminal weapon possession and was scheduled to appear in Hempstead district court Monday.
