Mineola Students Benefit Book Fairies

Prior to the February break, Meadow Drive School in the Mineola Union Free School District held a book collection to benefit The Book Fairies, a local nonprofit organization that is dedicated to bringing the magic of reading to those in need. Coordinated through the school’s Parent Teacher Association, students were asked to bring in any new and gently used books to benefit the cause. Books are directly being distributed to high poverty schools and organizations in the metropolitan New York area.
