NYU Langone Named Hospital With Most Advanced Stroke Care In New York
The hospital received the prestigious Get with the Guidelines-Stroke Gold Plus Award from the American Heart Association.

MINEOLA, NY — NYU Langone has received an outstanding honor from the American Heart Association.
The hospital, including its location in Mineola, is being recognized for providing the fastest and most advanced stroke care in New York with the prestigious Get with the Guidelines-Stroke Gold Plus Award.
“The recognition from the American Heart Association shows our dedication to providing timely, effective quality care to our patients in need,” said Dr. Koto Ishida, medical director for NYU Langone’s Comprehensive Stroke Center. “Our multidisciplinary teams are trained to respond rapidly and effectively because time is brain—every second counts.”

This award is the highest recognition in stroke treatment, underscoring a consistent excellence across all campuses in combating the fifth leading cause of death in the United States.
