2 Arrested on Drug Charges in Parking Lot of Main Street Coffee Shop in New City
Clarkstown Police: Needles, heroin found in car.
A man and a woman were arrested on drug charges Thursday afternoon in the parking lot of a Main Street coffee shop in New City after police received a tip about a suspicious car, according to Clarkstown Police.
Chrissy Garrabrant, 30, and Robert Hobbs, 30, both of Stony Point, were arrested at 3:35 p.m. when town police officers found them in a car in the parking lot of Starbucks, 85 S. Main St. Police said a caller alerted police to possible drug activity.
Drug paraphrenalia, including two hypodermic needles with heroin, were found in the car, police said.

Garrabrant and Hobbs were both charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument. They were later released pending a hearing on April 17 in Clarkstown Town Court in New City.
Police described the incident as unusual for South Main Street in New City and there have not been other similar incidents recently.
