Election 2022: Rockland County Absentee, Early Voting Info

Registered voters do not have to wait until Nov. 8 to cast a ballot — there's absentee and early voting.

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — The general election will be held Tuesday, Nov. 8 with polls open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

However, registered voters in Rockland County don’t have to wait until Nov. 8 to cast their ballots.

You still have time to apply for an absentee ballot, or you could take advantage of early voting.

Absentee Ballot Information for Nov. 8 General Election:

  • Oct. 24 is the last day for the Board of Elections to receive an application, letter, fax, email or absentee online portal request for the General Election ballot.
  • Nov. 7 is the last day for an applicant or agent to apply in person at the Board of Elections for the General Election absentee ballot.
  • Nov. 8 is the last day to postmark the General Election absentee ballot by mail. The ballot must be received by the Board of Elections no later than Nov. 15.
  • Nov. 8 is the last day to deliver the General Election absentee ballot in person to the Board of Elections or at any poll site throughout the county, by the close of the polls on election day.

Early voting in New York for the general election will be available from Saturday, Oct. 29 through Sunday, Nov. 6. Anyone registered in Rockland County can vote at any early voting site in the county.

The dates and times for early voting in Rockland County are:

  • Saturday, Oct. 29 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
  • Sunday, Oct. 30 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
  • Monday, Oct. 31 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 1 from noon until 8 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
  • Thursday, Nov. 3 from noon until 8 p.m.
  • Friday, Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, Nov. 5 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m..
  • Sunday, Nov. 6 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m..

The seven early voting centers in Rockland County are:

  • Clarkstown Town Hall, 10 Maple Ave., New City
  • Haverstraw Town Hall, 1 Rosman Rd., Garnerville
  • Orangetown Town Hall, 26 West Orangeburg Rd., Orangeburg
  • Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern
  • Stony Point Community Center (RHO), 5 Club House Lane, Stony Point
  • Fire Training Center, 35 Fireman's Memorial Dr., Pomona
  • Pascack Community Center, 87 New Clarkstown Rd., Nanuet
