Historic Powerball Drawing Spreads Riches In Westchester, Orange, Rockland And Dutchess

Winners in Armonk, Yonkers, Suffern, Valley Cottage, Newburgh, Warwick, and Poughkeepsie aren't billionaires, but got a piece of the pie.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — After a historic Powerball drawing, there aren't any new billionaires in the Hudson Valley, but there are plenty of big winners.

One of four third-prize-winning "Powerplay" tickets sold for the Sep 6 Powerball drawing was sold in Newburgh.

The ticket worth $100,000 was sold at Smokes 4 Less at 59 North Plank Rd. in Newburgh.

A handful of 20 third-prize-winning tickets from New York for the Sep. 6 Powerball drawing were also sold in the Hudson Valley, including winners in Armonk, Poughkeepsie, Suffern, Valley Cottage, Warwick and Yonkers.

The $50,000 tickets were sold at Mousa Mart in Armonk, Stewart's Shops in Poughkeepsie, M & M Super Shoppe in Suffern, 129 Route 303 Petroleum in Valley Cottage, Kwik Mart in Warwick, and the Royal Petroleum Transportation gas station in Yonkers.

The winning numbers for the drawing were 11-23-44-61-62, with a Powerball number of 17.

The winning numbers for the Powerball game are drawn from a field of one to 69. The red Powerball is drawn from a separate field of one to 26. The Powerball drawing is televised every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
