Man Drowns In Lake Sebago Beach At Harriman State Park

According to NY State Police, Rashad Ibrahim, 25, of Bronx slipped off a rock and into the lake. He never resurfaced.

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY—New York State Police have identified the man who drowned at Harriman State Park Monday afternoon.

According to police, Rashad Ibrahim, 25, of Bronx, and seven other people were in Lake Sebago Beach when at some point Ibrahim slipped off a rock and into the lake.

Officials said he began struggling and never resurfaced.

New York State Police along with New York State Park Police responded to the scene on Seven Lakes Drive shortly before 3 p.m.

Ibrahim's body was ultimately located by Thiells Search and Rescue. State and Park Police were also assisted by Mahwah Fire Department.
