Ramapo Police: Man Breaks Law Again 3 Days After Jail Release
According to the Ramapo Police Department, a man recently charged with arson and then released on bail is now wanted for criminal mischief.
RAMAPO, NY—A man recently charged with arson and released on bail is now wanted on a felony charge, according to the Ramapo Police Department.
Police said they arrested a 28-year-old man in connection with a fire that occurred at the Howard Johnson’s in Airmont late Tuesday night. He was charged with two counts of third-degree arson.
Following an argument, investigators believe the suspect lit that person's car on fire, which then ignited a second car beside it.

According to police, the man, who's identity they did not reveal, was ultimately arraigned and released without bail in accordance with the state's bail reform.
Three days after his release from jail, however, police said the same man was involved in a dispute in the Hillcrest area, which led to yet another vehicle damaged.

Police said the suspect left the scene before police arrived. He is now wanted for criminal mischief, a felony.
