ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — The 2024 June primary election in Rockland County included local and state offices plus a Congressional contest for the Working Families Party line on the November ballot.

With 304 districts of 307 reporting, these were the unofficial results from the Rockland County Board of Elections:

97th Assembly District

Conservative Primary

  • John W. McGowan: 192
  • Thomas F. Sullivan: 255

Democratic Primary

38th Senatorial District

Working Families Primary

  • Barbara J. Francis: 148
  • Elijah A. Reichlin-Melnick: 72

There were three-way battles among Democrats for Piermont village trustee and among Republicans for Sloatsburg village trustee; and several village justice primaries. View unofficial results here.

About half the election districts had reported in the 17th Congressional district as of 10:20 p.m., according to the New York State Board of Elections.

In the Working Families Primary, Rockland County contractor Anthony Frascone challenged Mondaire Jones, the Democratic nominee who has taken on Republican Mike Lawler in one of the top five House races that will determine which party controls Congress next January.
