A handful of Rockland teens—just out of high school—were honored by county officials Friday for their decision to enlist in the U.S. Marine Corps.
About two-dozen family members and friends gathered to watch the certificate presentation at county headquarters in New City.
Sgt. Ashton Kroner, a Marines recruiter based in Rockland, praised their decision.
"Thy volunteered in a time of war," she said.
