2 Injured In Southold Crash Involving Motorcycle Tuesday: Police
A woman failed to yield the right of way to the motorcyclist, police say.
SOUTHOLD, NY — Two people were injured in a crash involving a motorcycle in Southold Tuesday afternoon, police said.
According to Southold Town police, the crash took place at 12:36 p.m. on County Road 48 when an East Marion man, 80, who was riding a 2019 Triumph motorcycle west, collided with a vehicle driven by a woman, 70, from Hastings-on-Hudson.
The woman, in a 2024 Toyota, attempted to make a left turn to head east on County Road 48 and failed to yield the right of way to the motorcyclist, police said.

He was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries; she was taken to Eastern Long Island Hospital for medical attention, police said.
