The festival celebrated Greenport’s rich maritime history with the annual 'Merry Merfolk' parade, a street fair, local food, live music, a cardboard boat regatta, and artisan vendors throughout the village.
The Grand Marshal of this year's Merry Merfolk parade, which took place Saturday, was Paul Kreiling.

"Sailor, painter, designer, rigging specialist, volunteer, community leader and all around good guy, Paul Kreiling has committed much of the last eight years to improving East End Seaport Museum," organizers said. "Paul served as chair for four years and curator for eight years. During his time as curator, Paul re-imagined our exhibit spaces from jaded displays to vibrant storytelling exhibits of the East End’s historic maritime past. Join us in celebrating Paul’s exceptional contribution to our museum and our community."
The event also included delicious fare, kayak races, kids' activities, sea shanties and live music, and more.
