GREENPORT, NY — The 3rd Annual North Fork Pride Parade & Festival is set to kick off in Greenport on Sunday, according to the LGBT Network.

The "vibrant celebration of visibility, unity, and equality" begins with a parade, which steps off at noon, followed by an all-day street festival, free and open to the public, filled with family-friendly fun, entertainment, community resources, and local vendors of artisanal goods, crafts, food, and beverages, organizers said.

North Fork Pride brings together thousands from across Long Island and beyond to celebrate LGBTQ+ pride, organizers said.

"North Fork Pride is about visibility and celebration — not just for the LGBT community, but for everyone who believes in equality, dignity, and inclusion — and this year marks a moment in history when Pride is its most consequential," said Robert Vitelli, CEO of the LGBT Network. "We are excited to bring Pride to Greenport again and to create a welcoming space for people from all walks of life to stand together — building community and amplifying support during these turbulent and uncertain times are vital and essential to our existence."

The parade begins at noon at Main and Broad Streets, heading through downtown Greenport along Main Street before turning onto Front Street and ending near Mitchell Park.

The route showcases local LGBTQ+ organizations, allies, schools, community groups, and vibrant floats.

This year’s Pride theme is "Defiant Joy" and encourages LGBTQ+ people, allies, families, and neighbors to "stand together — marching, dancing, and celebrating — in a statement of resilience, power, and unapologetic joy," organizers said.

The festival will include food trucks and local fare, beverages, beer and wine, live music and entertainment, community and craft vendors, a family activity area and wellness tent, resource booths, giveaways and more.

A Pre-Pride Party will be held on Saturday, June 21 at 5 p.m. at the American Beech Hotel; the event features cocktails, light bites, entertainment, dancing, raffles, and a chance to mingle with fellow attendees, local leaders, and special guests.

Tickets to this fundraiser are $50 and can be purchased here, as well as at the door.
