Driver Injured After Crashing Into Utility Pole In Southold: Police
PSEG arrived at the scene to repair the damage, police say.

NORTH FORK, NY — One person was injured after crashing into a utility pole in Southold Wednesday morning, police said.
According to Southold Town police, the crash took place at 7:49 a.m. Police and the Southold Fire Department responded to the crash, which took place on County Route 48 in the area of Kenneys Road, police said.
When police arrived, it was determined that a single vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole, authorities said. The driver, who was the sole occupant, was transported to Eastern Long Island Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said.

One westbound lane of Route 48 remained closed while PSEG crews worked to repair the damaged utilities, police said.
