43rd Annual Vanderbilt Cup Regatta Coming To Long Island Sound

The race will be followed by a benefit party featuring drinks, a buffet, live music, and dancing.

CENTERPORT, NY — The 43rd annual Vanderbilt Cup Regatta is scheduled for Sept. 30, the Centerport Yacht Club announced.

The Long Island Sound regatta, steeped in tradition, offers a finish line in sight of the museum. The afterparty will be set in the beautiful courtyard of the Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site.

Boaters can register for the regatta here. The race entry is $135. The fee includes after-race party tickets for the skipper and four crew (additional crew at $35 per person). All skippers will receive a "swag bag" filled with goodies.

The after-race benefit party, scheduled for 5 to 9 p.m., is open to all. To purchase party tickets, go here. Party only tickets are $45 when purchased in advance or $50 at the door. It includes an adult beverage, buffet, live music and dancing, courtesy of the Crisis Classic Rock LI Band, and a night of fun. Local businesses will be showcasing their products through donations, raffles and a silent auction, and a 50/50 and raffle tickets will be available throughout the night.
