44th Annual Vanderbilt Cup Regatta Coming To Centerport: Info

Enjoy the race and then attend the party set in the courtyard of the historic Vanderbilt estate. Here's what you should know.

CENTERPORT, NY — The 44th annual William K. Vanderbilt II Regatta and after-race benefit party is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 5, the Centerport Yacht Club announced in a news release.

Boaters were invited by the club to participate in the event.

"The regatta is steeped in tradition with the finish [line] in sight of the museum and the party set in the beautiful courtyard of the historic Vanderbilt estate," a spokesman for the club said.

People can register their boat for the regatta here.

The race entry fee of $140 includes after-race party tickets for the boat driver and four crew members. Additional crew members are $40 per person. All skippers will receive a"swag bag" filled with goodies, according to the club.

The after-race party to benefit the Vanderbilt Museum is open to all. The party is set to run from 5 to 9 p.m.

People can purchase party tickets here.

Party-only tickets are $45 when purchased in advance, or $50 at the door, and include an adult beverage, buffet, live music and dancing, courtesy of the Society Road Band, and a night of fun.

Local businesses plan to showcase their products through donations, raffles and a silent auction. And 50/50 and raffle tickets will be available throughout the night.
