Driving Instructor Forcibly Touched Student In Suffolk: PD

The man was accused of touching the 20-year-old woman while they were stopped, police say.

EAST NORTHPORT, NY — A driving instructor was arrested Saturday after he was accused of inappropriately touching one of his students in East Northport a week prior, Suffolk police said.

During a driving lesson, the instructor, Arnold Stecker, an employee of Fitzgerald Driving School,
inappropriately touched a 20-year-old female student while they were stopped on Kenilworth Drive around 8:30 p.m. Sept. 10, police said.

He was held overnight and arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Sunday.

"Detectives are asking anyone with additional information or if you believe you are a victim to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252," the department wrote.
