Elwood HS Raises Most Money At Polar Plunge Held By Town Of Oyster Bay
The John Glenn HS team raised $13,180 for the Special Olympics of NY.

ELWOOD, NY — Elwood-John H. Glenn High School was named the top school fundraiser at the Town of Oyster Bay’s 2025 Polar Plunge, the school district announced.
The event, held on March 29 in the cold waters of Tobay Beach, benefits the Special Olympics of New York.
Led by the school’s National Honor Society and advisor Diane Locascio, the John Glenn team raised $13,180 in total.

Student Colin Moshos was the team’s top fundraiser, raising $1,275 alone.
"Through the hard work and dedication of the students, staff and community, our school showed what it truly means to come together for a great cause," LoCascio said.
