Students at the James H. Boyd Intermediate School took part in an assembly on Friday, Jan. 16, to pay tribute to the life and dedication of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Led by Masters of Ceremony Alexandra Haddad and Joshua Haddad, the president and vice president of the student council, the event kicked off with a video tribute to Dr. King. Students from Mrs. McLeod’s class then presented biographical information about Dr. King, followed by excerpts from the “Martin Luther King Jr.” poem from students in Mr. Pace and Mrs. Reilly’s classes. Mrs. McLeod’s students concluded the reading portion by sharing King’s famous “I Have A Dream” speech.
