Friends and family of deceased St. Anthony's senior Jenna Baron will gather to say their final goodbyes on Friday at the high school school chapel.
Jenna Baron, 18, of Northport died on April 11. She is survived by her parents Jean and Peter, he siblings Julianna and Jonathan, and her grandparents Rick and Ann Pagliughi.
Jenna's peers knew her as a kindhearted person and a talented artist. Many have gone on Twitter to express their grief and share their memories using the hashtag #RIPJenna. A poem, written by an unknown student, is among the items circulating. A picture of it is attached to this article.
A quote posted on Jenna's Instagram account is also being shared on Twitter. The quote reads, "Every second you spend angry or upset is a second of happiness you could never get back. Forgive freely and love like you've never been hurt before."
St. Anthony's students also organized to wear purple, Jenna's favorite color, the day after her death.
A wake was held for Jenna on Sunday at Nolan Taylor Howe Funeral Home in Northport. The memorial service will be held at the St. Anthony's High School chapel at 7 p.m. Friday.
Donations to a memorial fund in Jenna's memory would be appreciated.
