Marie Josephine Barbuto Dies at 84

Marie Josephine Barbuto of Eaton's Neck died at her daughter's house in Maryville, Tenn. on May 18 at the age of 84.

Barbuto was born in Brooklyn on September 2, 1928. She was the wife of the late Bartolomeo J. Barbuto, mother of Roseann Keiles, Doris Lehr and Thomas Barbuto, grandmother of William and Danielle Lehr, and great-grandmother of Angelina.

Barbuto was a member of the Red Hats Society, the Women's Home Extension in Eaton's Neck and served on the board of elections for many years in Northport.

Reposing will take place at Nolan & Taylor-Howe Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday 10 a.m. at St. Philip Neri Church. Interment to follow at Northport Rural Cemetery.
