Northport To Celebrate Pride Month With Flag-Raising

NORTHPORT, NY — Northport Village is set to hold a Pride flag-raising event at noon on Friday to kick off Pride Month.

Northport Village officials, including Mayor Donna Koch, will be joined by elected representatives from New York state, Suffolk County, the Town of Huntington, and the Village of Asharoken at Northport Village Hall, at 224 Main Street.

Local churches will ring bells in support of the LGBTQ+ community. The opening reception for a Pride Exhibit at the Northport Historical Society and Museum will follow.

Pridefest in the Park is scheduled for 12:30 to 5 p.m. June 15.
