Ocean Avenue School Reopens For Kindergarteners and First Graders
Students returned to the elementary school after a wing of the building reopened.
Northport, NY — The Ocean Avenue Elementary School reopened Monday to kindergarten and first grade students for the first time since September. The roof of the B-Wing of the school needed to be repaired and students were housed temporarily at Norwood Avenue Elementary School.
The students were greeted by a "welcome home" sign when they arrived by bus on January 6th. Teachers directed the kindergarteners and first graders to their classrooms before beginning the school day routine.
