Police: Dog Pees On Village Christmas Tree, Heroin Arrest

Tuesday, Nov. 21
At 12:38 p.m., police received a report from a Northport Village employee that there was graffiti on the men's room door in Village Park.
At 5:13 p.m., police received a report of a woman yelling for help on Seaview Terrance. Police responded and interviewed the woman, who said she got lost walking home because it got dark outside. Officers spoke with a neighbor, who said this was the woman's normal behavior.

At 6:48 p.m., police received a report of a vehicle driving erratically and failing to remain in its lane of travel on Fort Salonga Road. Officers located the vehicle on Eatons Neck Road. The driver was elderly and lost, but showed no signs of impairment. He told police he had been driving for an hour trying to get home. He was escorted to Elwood Road and Fort Salonga Road and was given directions to the parkway.

At 4:22 p.m., police reported a Village Code violation in which an unleashed dog ran up to the Christmas tree in the Village Park Gazebo and urinated on it. The owner told police the dog "got away from him when he exited the car." The owner was warned and watered down the area where the dog urinated.
At 11:42 p.m., a 55-year-old Greenlawn man was arrested for second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after he was pulled over for multiple traffic law violations on Jamaica Avenue. Police say he had 17 suspensions in effect on five different dates.
Thursday, Nov. 23
At 12:20 a.m., a 27-year-old East Northport man was arrested for three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on Constitution Square after police say he possessed a quantity of heroin, Alprazolam and Diazepam.
At 2:39 a.m., a 21-year-old Huntington Station man was arrested for second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after he was pulled over for speeding. Police say he had seven suspensions in effect on three different dates.
Friday, Nov. 24
At 3:12 p.m., police received a report that a man has been sending him unwanted messages. The man also yelled at him two weeks ago at a Woodbine Avenue location and said he'd "get him."
Saturday, Nov. 25
At 5 p.m., police reported a petty larceny in which someone stole three ceramic pig figurines from Lewis Oliver Dairy on Burr Avenue at some point between Nov. 18 and 25. The estimated value of the pigs were $100.
