Police Log: Buyer, Seller Arrested In Northport Drug Deal
Here are recent incidents reported in the Northport Police Department log.

Monday, Aug. 21
At noon, police received a report of a two bicycles that were stolen off a front porch on Schooner Road. Police say the bicycles had an estimated value of $1,000.
At 1:50 p.m., police responded to a dispute between a landlord and a tenant over a boat. Police say the landlord advised the boat’s owner to remove the vessel from his dock and he refused. Police went to the location and the boat owner did not come to the door despite appearing to be home.

At 8:32 p.m., John Montgomery, 38, of Northport, was arrested after police say he was observed selling a quantity of cocaine to a 19-year-old Northport man in exchange for cash on Fort Salonga Road. He was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Wednesday, Aug. 23
At 10:42 a.m., police responded to a Woodbine Avenue location for the report of a sick raccoon in the driveway. The raccoon was euthanized and properly disposed of.
At 5:12 p.m., police received a report of property damage in which a woman’s rear window was shattered on Center Street. Police determined a rock from a passing vehicle hit the window and shattered it.
